I don't know whether (2)(b) is possible with the Officejet Pro 8600 Plus's driver, but if it is not possible, then you cannot control it precisely, and have to try using (color) Managed by Printer in Lightroom. That approach is likely to provide more frustration and disappointment than success.Īlso, you may well know all this, but you need to both (1) apply / convert to the right profile (best / most easily in the Lightroom Print module, Print Job panel, Color Management subpanel) and (2) in the printer driver (a) tell it precisely the paper you're using but (b) turn off all color correction / color management. Are you using genuine HP ink cartridges? Are you using ICC profiles that are specifically for the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus with HP Premium Plus photo paper? Because I can't imagine how you could have tried 'so many different profiles' unless you just tried a bunch of different, but not applicable, profiles in the hope that one of them would sort-of work okay. I'm on Windows 10, I'm wondering if going back to Windows 7 will make it any better?
